SINOPSIS
Enfermeras. Heroínas de lo cotidiano. Permanecen ocultas en una profesión en donde hay que tener algo más que talento y buena predisposición. Sueldos bajos y mucho desgaste. ¿ En que son diferentes a nosotros? Este es un viaje concreto hacia las entrañas de nuestra protagonista, una jefa de enfermeras de una residencia geriátrica, dejándonos entrever, además ,un futuro en donde la media de edad europea estará en los 44 años. Estas mujeres al igual que las Valkirias mitológicas recogen a los caídos en batalla cuya realidad va desapareciendo facilitándoles el paso al Valhalla o paraíso.
SYNOPSIS
Nurses. Daily heroines. A work which needs more than talent and good disposition. Low salaries and hard employment conditions. In which are they different to us? A travel trough the whole life of a nurse chief of an old´s people home; furthermore we can see a future where the European middle age will be 44. These women like Valkirias in mythology accompany fallen warriors to the Valhalla.

BIOFILMOGRAFÍA DEL DIRECTOR
Eduardo Soler nace en Madrid en el seno de una familia acomodada. Pocos años después de su nacimiento su padre muere. Estudia Imagen y Sonido y consigue entrar en el IES PUERTA BONITA con una de las notas más altas y por tanto becado, y es allí donde se desarrolla como cineasta. Al final de su carrera trabaja durante 3 años en A3. Luego abre junto a Alfredo Medina y Javier Ercilla una productora: PEQUEÑO PRODUCE PC SL. Valkirias es su primer documental para cine, ha sido producido a finales de 2007 y nominado en 2008 al Goya al mejor corto documental.
DIRECTOR´S BIO & FILMOGRAPHY
Eduardo Soler is born in 1978 and raised in Madrid. A few years later his father dies.He studies Bachelor in Information Technology and Visual Communications and he achieves to enter in the institute IES PUERTA BONITA with the highest degrees therefore obtains a scholarship. His first work as cameraman and editor in Antena 3 TV gives him the experience and income to create PEQUEÑO PRODUCE PC SL company with Javier Ercilla and Alfredo Medina. Valkirias is his first doc for cinemas, produced in the end of 2007 and nominated Best documentary for the Goyas in 2008.
