SINOPSIS
En un pequeño pueblo español, un grupo de ancianas deciden celebrar la cena de Nochebuena “sentando a un hombre pobre en su mesa”: cada familia rica del pueblo tendrá una persona sin hogar cenando con ellos esa noche.
Las celebraciones también incluyen un desfile, donde encontramos a Plácido, el humilde propietario de un triciclo, cuya familia está obligada a vivir en un servicio público debido a la falta de dinero para pagar el alquiler, e incluso tiene que pagar el segundo recibo de su vehículo antes de la medianoche o él lo perderá.
SYNOPSIS
In a small spanish town, a group of old ladies decide to celebrate Christmas Eve with a "Sit a poor man at your table" dinner: each wealthy household of the town will have a homeless person dining with them that night.
The celebrations also include a parade, and in it we find Plácido, the humble owner of a three-wheeler, whose family is forced to live in a public lavatory because of the lack of money to pay the rent, and who has to pay the second bill of his vehicle before midnight or else he will lose it.

BIOFILMOGRAFÍA DEL DIRECTOR
Luís García Berlanga empezó a mostrar interés por el cine in 1943, y comenzó a escribir un guión titulado” Cajón de perro”, junto con sus primeras revisiones cinematográficas. In 1947, entró en el Instituto de investigación cinematográfico y experiencias (IIEC). Durante su segundo año en el instituto, él filmó un corto titulado ' “Paseo por una guerra Antigua”, Él dirigió (junto con Bardem) la película " Que la Pareja Feliz ". En 1962 él fue nominado, Palma De Oro por "Plácido". En 1994, su película " Todos un la cárcel " ganó tres Premios de Goya para la Mejor Película, el Mejor Director y Mejor Sonido.
DIRECTOR´S BIO & FILMOGRAPHY
Luís García Berlanga began to take an interest in and cinema in 1943, and started to write a screenplay entitled 'Cajón de perro', together with his first cinematographic reviews. In 1947 he entered the 'Institute of Cinematográphic Research and Experiences (IIEC). During his second year at the institute, he filmed a short entitled 'Paseo por una guerra antigua'. He directed (together with Bardem) the film “That Happy Couple”. In 1962 he was nominated ,Golden Palm for “Plácido”.
In 1994, his film “Todos a la cárcel” won three Goya Awards for Best Film, Best Director and Best Sound.
