SINOPSIS
Personajes tiernos y humanos se pasean por este bosque animado y componen una telaraña de historias que se entrecruzan: un bandido, un pocero, una niña que trabaja, un chico que no quiere trabajar, una muchacha que emigra, un fantasma que busca compañía. Es una historia abierta, descripción de un pequeño mundo, en el que se combinan la ternura, la tolerancia y la risa.
SYNOPSIS
Distinct creatures are walking throughout this animated forest: a bandit , a well-digger, a girl who works, a boy who does not want to work, an emigrant girl, and a phantom who is looking for company. A tangling web of stories, which spread into one another, is composed.It is an unfinished story, description of a small world combining elements of tenderness, tolerance and laughter.

BIOFILMOGRAFÍA DEL DIRECTOR
Después de diversos cortometrajes en 1982 dirigió su primer largometraje “Pares y nones”. Su siguiente película”El bosque animado” (1987) inaugurará en su carrera una nueva etapa carac¬terizada por un humor surrealista, ganó 5 Goyas a la mejor película , mejor actor, guión, música original y diseño de vestuario. Un año después aparecería el trabajo que lo consagra como realizador, además de ser un éxito de taquilla: “Amanece que no es poco” (1988). Con” La lengua de las mariposas” (1999) presenta una visión tierna y al mismo tiempo descarnada de la Guerra Civil española desde la relación de un niño con su maestro.
DIRECTOR´ S BIO & FILMOGRAPHY
After a variety of short films, he directed his first full-lenght movie “Odds and Evens” in 1982. His following movie”The Living Forest” (1987) inaugurated a new chapter in hi career characterized by surrealistic humor.This movie won five Goya Award :for Best movie, Best actor, Best Script, Best Original Soundtrack and Best Costume Design . One year later there appeared :”Amanece que no es Poco” (1988), a box office success, which he produced. In “Butterfly´s Toungue” (1999) he contrast the relationship of a student and teacher and their idyllic village with the barbarism of the Spanish Cicil War.
