Tras saber que “el Turco” baja por la costa con una peligrosa armada, Don Alonso Quijano, el caballero don Quijote de la Mancha, saldrá, una vez más, y con la oposición de su sobrina y de su ama, a una nueva batalla que empezará en la Mancha y terminará en la costa. Vestido con su armadura de estilo renacentista, bastante anticuada para la época (1615), el “loco” caballero andante del que todos se burlan emprenderá sus aventuras con su fiel escudero. Se topará con su siguiente aventura en medio del camino. SYNOPSIS Since Miguel de Cervantes, an old soldier wrote down the adventures of Don Quijote and his squire Sancho they have both became famous. When Don Alfonso Quijano, Don Quixote de la Mancha, finds out that the Turks are coming down the coast with their dangerous navy he sets off once more, against the wishes of his niece and her housekeeper, to engage in another battle that starts in La Mancha and finishes on the coast. In 1615, dressed in Renaissance-style armour which is quite old-fashioned by that time, this mad knight-errant who everyone makes fun of, starts out on his adventures with his faithful squire. On the way he comes upon his next adventure. Licenciado en Filosofía y Letras por la Universidad de Madrid. En 1979 dirige en Madrid la versión teatral de Meter Weiss de “El proceso de Kafka”. Sus películas han obtenido repetidos premios en los Festivales de Berlín y de San Sebastián, entre ellas están: “Habla Mudita” (1973), “Sonámbulos” (1977) Concha de Plata al mejor director en el Festival de San Sebastián, “El Corazón del bosque” (1978), “La mitad del cielo” (1986), “Cosas que dejé en la Habana” (1997) o “La vida que te espera” (2004), entre otras. DIRECTOR´S BIO&FILMOGRAPHY Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón was born in Santander in 1492. He graduated in Humanities at the University of Madrid. In 1976 he directed the theatre version of “The process of Kafka”. His films have been awarded many times at the Film Festivals in Berlin and San Sebastian. His filmography includes: “Speak Mute Girl”(1973), Sleep walkers (1977) Silver Shell for Best director at San Sebastian Film Festival ,”Black Brood”(1977), “The heart of the forest” (1979), “Half of Heaven”(1986), Things I Left in Havana (1997) and “Your next Life” (2004) amongst others.
