Él conoce a Ranulpho, un vagabundo que se propone ir a Río de Janeiro en busca de una vida mejor y se une a él en su viaje. Mientras que viajan juntos, ellos tendrán una estrecha amistad, pero el 31 de agosto de 1942, Brasil declara la guerra a Alemania y Johann tiene que decidir si vuelve a su casa y luchar en la guerra o permanecer en Brasil en un campo de concentración. SYNOPSIS In 1942, the lonely German Johann travels through the arid roads in the country of the Northeast of Brazil in his truck selling aspirins in small villages, using advertisement movies to promote the medicine. He meets the drifter Ranulpho, who intends to go to Rio de Janeiro seeking a better life, and gives a ride to the man. While traveling together, they develop a close friendship, but on 31 August 1942, Brazil declares war to Germany and Johann has to decide if he should return to his home country and fight in the war, or stay in Brazil in a concentration camp. Estudió cine en la universidad de Bristol en el Reino Unido y produjo su primer corto “Maracutu Maracutus” en 1994. También produjo el documental “Punk, Rock, Hard Core” (1996).”Cinema, Aspirina & Urubus” se inspiró en cuentos contados a Gomes por un pariente suyo Ranulpho Gomes, autor of “Tales of a Journey”. “Cinema, Aspirin  e Urubus” ganó el Premio Nacional de Educación 2005 en el Festival de cine de Cannes. También ganó el Premio Especial del Jurado y Premio Mejor Actor (Johann) en el Festival  de cine de Río de Janeiro en 2005. DIRECTOR´S BIO & FILMOGRAFHY Marcelo Gomes  was born in Recife, Pernambuco, in Northeast  Brazil. He studied filmmaking at Bristol University in the United Kingdom and produced his first short, “Maracutu Maracutus” in 1994. He likewise produced the documentary“Punk,  Rock, Hard Core” (1996).”Cinema, Aspirin & Vultures” was inspired by tales told to him by an elder relative Ranulpho Gomes, author of “Tales of a Journey”. “Cinema, Aspirin & Urubus” won the National Award of Education  at the  Cannes Film Festival in 2005. It also won a Special Jury Award and the Best Actor Award (Johann) at  Rio de Janeiro Film Festival in 2005.
