Alicia, casada con un taxista desde hace  20 años, trabaja en un salón de belleza, tiene tres hijos,  y una madre que trabaja como criada en su casa .Ninguno de los tres hermanos hace mucho caso a su madre, y tratan a su abuela sin ningún respeto. El matrimonio pasa por una crisis, pero el marido no se preocupa en ocultar sus aventuras. Un buen día, Alicia se enfrenta a la posibilidad de ser infiel. SYNOPSIS Sao  Paulo, a working neighborhood. Alice, married for the last 20 years to a taxi driver, works in a beauty parlour, has three children,  and a mother who works as a maid in her house. None of the three siblings pay much attention to their mother, and they treat their grandmother with lack of respect. The marriage passes for a crisis, but the husband does not worry in to conceal his adventures. A good day, Alicia faces the possibility of being an unfaithful person. Director de documentales desde 1989. En 1995 rodó “Criaturas que nacían en secreto”, que cosechó veintiún premios, incluidos el de mejor filme y mejor director en el festival de Gramado; y de mejor director, música y edición en el festival de Brasilia. En 2000, dirigió el documental Carrego Comigo. “A casa de Alice”, estrenada en la Berlinale, ganó el premio FIPRESCI, Premio Especial del Jurado y a la mejor actriz en Guadalajara, además de 3 premios en el festival de cine de Guadalajara y en los festivales de Rio y São Paulo, entre otros. DIRECTOR´S BIO & FILMOGRAFHY Chico Teixeira (Brasil, 1958) has been a director of documentaries since 1989. En 1995, he shot Criaturas Que Nasciam em Segredo. This film obtained 21 awards, included that for the Best Film and Best Directo in Gramado, as well as that for Best Director, Soundtrack and Edition in Brasilia Film Festival. In 2000, he directed the documentary Carrego Comigo. "Alice's House", first released at the Berlinale, won the FIPRESCI award, the Special Jury Award and the Award for Best Actress in Guadalajara. Moreover, this film earned him 3 awards at Guadalajara Mexican Film Festival and awards at Rio and São Paulo too.
