		La zona España / Mexico · 2007 - 96' Proyecciones de la película DÍA   HORA SALA 21 20:30 Aqualon 2 SINOPSIS       Ciudad de México, una urbanización está rodeada por muros y sistema de vigilancia para proteger a los vecinos contra la violencia de los barrios bajos. Durante una noche tormentosa, tres intrusos logran entrar en el lugar para robar. Ellos entran  en una casa y matan a una señora vieja; los residentes organizan milicias para perseguir a los delincuentes. Dos de ellos y un guardia de seguridad son asesinados por los vigilantes, pero Miguel de dieciséis años se oculta en el sótano del adolescente Alejandro. Cuando Alejandro encuentra a Miguel, él  alimenta y ayuda al muchacho, pero es imposible escaparse de la Zona. SYNOPSIS                                         In Mexico City, a wealthy housing estate is surrounded by walls and surveillance system to protect the locals against the violence of the slums. One storrmy night,  three thieves manage to get in to rob. They break into a house and kill an old lady; the residents organize militias to chase the delinquents. Two of them and one security guard are murdered by the watchmen, but the sixteen year old Miguel hides in the basement of the teenager Alejandro. Su último trabajo ha sido “Desierto adentro” (2008), largometraje en el que trabaja como director, guionista, editor y productor. DIRECTOR´S BIO & FILMOGRAPHY Rodrigo Plá is a Mexican film director, author of fiction short films such as “My Girlfriend” (1996) and “The Eye on the Nape” (2001) which won the special mention award at the Havana Film Festival and a Silver Ariel award to Best Short Fiction Film. “The zone” was awarded the  Fipresci of the International Critique at Toronto International Film Festival, the Best Director  Golden India Catalina at Cartagena Film Festival 2008 and a Golden Ariel award 2008. Plá is the director, writer, editor and producer of his last feature film Desierto adentro (2008).
